Thermography

Infra Red Thermography Scanning is an effective method of locating equipment faults early before failure. Predominantly used as a preventative maintenance tool, our Thermographic test equipment, and trained thermographers are able to recognise potential hazards in Electrical Switchboards, or equipment due to over heating or increases in temperature.

Infrared thermography enables us to see and measure heat. All materials emit heat in the infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Simple thermal images allow us to see the thermal anomalies that in turn identify problems in components. The infrared camera can also record temperature measurements of specific objects. The points of possible interest show up clearly as hot or cold relative to their surroundings.

By detecting potential trouble spots in your electrical, industrial and mechanical switchboard you will be preventing costly breakdowns, and repair bills.

Thermography is a non-invasive inspection and does not require shutdowns, or interrupt production. Scanning is carried out whilst operating so there is no costly down time.

To thoroughly inspect and thermograph Electrical / Mechanical services switchboards; electrical board cover plates are opened on all boards to expose the electrical wiring and components. A Detailed report specifying irregularities found is provided, including the images as recorded.

ET&C WA use the latest Infrared thermal imaging technology to ensure that the latest procedures and methods are employed. Additionally, all ET&C WA Thermographers are qualified to AS3998.

Contact ET&C WA today to arrange a Thermographic scan of your Electrical & Mechanical Switchboards.
